Cassie Smith, a Jacksonville native, understands the value of hard work, attention to detail, and service to others. Using those skills, Cassie effectively represents injured victims against insurance companies. 

Cassie graduated from Florida State University and moved back to her hometown to attend law school. Cassie has practiced in the Jacksonville area since she was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2014. She began her legal career working for the State Attorney’s Office in the 4th Judicial Circuit. As a prosecutor, Cassie honed her skills as a trial attorney and tried several cases to verdict for both felony and misdemeanor offenses. She subsequently joined a statewide insurance defense firm, representing some of the largest insurance companies in the country. Her range of insurance defense cases included automobile accidents, premises liability and first party actions. She has taken the knowledge and insight of how insurance companies evaluate and litigate claims and uses it to help her clients who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Cassie also worked as an Assistant County Attorney for the Clay County Board of County Commissioners, handling various matters affecting the citizens of Clay County. 

Cassie is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, on the board of Clay Behavioral Health Center, and past President of the Young Lawyers Section. She enjoys giving back to her community through the various philanthropic activities hosted by the Young Lawyers Section and enjoys mentoring minority members of the community who are interested in the practice of law. Cassie frequently serves as a guest commentator and expert on Court TV. Most notably, Cassie was named 2022 National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in Florida.
