Lauren received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and moved to Jacksonville to attend law school.  During law school, Lauren also enrolled in business school and simultaneously earned her master’s degree in Business and Administration from Jacksonville University.  While pursuing her degrees, Lauren completed internships with the PGA Tour, Florida Blue, and BET Networks.  By the age of 23, Lauren graduated law school with her Business Law Certificate, Pro-Bono Honors, and finished in the top 1/3 of her class.

After law school, Lauren served as an Assistant Public Defender for both the 4th and 18th Judicial Circuits.  Having spent thousands of hours inside the courtroom, Lauren is a skilled and aggressive litigator.  Lauren has handled hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, has successfully negotiated favorable dispositions for her clients, and brings a great deal of trial experience to the firm.  Additionally, Lauren has argued hundreds of motions and has used her experience to obtain favorable rulings and case dismissals in Florida’s County and Circuit Courts.

Lauren later went on to join the law firm of Woolsey Morcom, where she practiced Personal Injury and handled Quiet Title Actions for local and foreign investors purchasing properties off of tax deeds.  Lauren quickly became an asset in the firm’s Personal Injury and Auto Negligence departments, where she helped secure a seven-figure trial verdict and over seven figures in cumulative settlements.

As a result of her experience and professionalism both inside and outside of the courtroom, Lauren was named “First Coast’s Rising Star” by Attorney at Law Magazine in 2018.  Also, in 2020, Lauren was named “National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.”  In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, trying out new restaurants, and dancing.  Lauren is a current captain of the ROAR of the Jaguars.  On weekdays, tune in and you can find Lauren on Court TV, where she frequently serves as a guest legal expert and commentator.
